On December 22 Amcham offered a breakfast in Golf 50 Club with the presence of Hernán Cheyre, Executive Vice President of Corfo. He referred to the need to increase productivity in Chile and convert the country into a regional pole of the entrepreneurship and innovation in Latin America.
On December 2, Deval Patrick Governor of Massachusetts was the guest speaker in a new breakfast held at Casa Piedra. As an example to Chile, he spoke about the strengths of the State of Massachusetts including efficiency in education, energy, innovation and infrastructure. This in the context of the Governor's visit to Chile and a group of businessmen and academics from Massachusetts, to endorse a cooperation agreement that was sealed last October during the visit that President Piñera made to the U.S., which seeks to generate more exchange and business between the State and Chile.
On November 30, AmCham hosted a new breakfast at Club Manquehue with guest speaker Diego Hernández, Chief Executive Officer of Codelco. In his presentation he made a complete analysis of current and future conditions for the copper business.
